TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley and Humeniuk family commit $50,000 to the Alton Legion
Caledon, Ont. – TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley and the Humeniuk family announced on Tuesday a $50,000 donation to the Alton Legion, part of an ongoing effort to support local organizations in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The pandemic has challenged so many organizations in our community, especially those like the Alton Legion that serve as gathering places for community groups. We are fortunate and proud to be able to provide support when they need it most,” said Chris Humeniuk, TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley President.
“We’ve been inspired to see individuals in Caledon doing what they can to support the Alton Legion during these difficult times and are pleased to make a contribution to such an important part of the local community,” added Humeniuk.
For more than 70 years, the Alton Legion has been a gathering place for veterans, members, community groups and events in Caledon’s historic Alton Village.
The $50,000 donation, which will assist with expenses and help ensure the space continues to be a focal point of community gatherings for years to come, is part of an ongoing series of contributions to help generate awareness and financial support for local organizations throughout Caledon and beyond.
In the spring of 2020, The Humeniuk Foundation and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley contributed $350,000 to organizations providing COVID-19 relief efforts.
